It is a turtle of very quiet character that can reach dimensions around 35-40cm. It prefers a little humid habitat and is found mainly in zones rich of bushes and savannahs. When in captivity, it needs all the year round temperatures around the 30, as it does not hibernate, therefore during the winter period a terrarium will have to be set up.
