MAUREMYS REEVESI
The natural habitat of these turtles concerns slow waterways, marshy areas with shallow and muddy bottoms. The Mauremys Reevesi adapt very well to our climates and it is also possible to breed them in an outdoor pond, with a depth of one meter circus (and a muddy seabed of about 20 cm)Where they’ll always have to find a surface area where they can settle for basking.
It is also possible to breed in an aquarium, taking care to choose one large enough to meet the needs of the animal, and equipped with a spot (which holds the temperature of a 30 degree) together with a neon UVB placed no more than 30 cm from the water level.

DISTRIBUTION: 
Southeast China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan.

FEEDING: 
Being an omnivorous species, it is advisable to offer a diet as varied as possible: fresh fish (bleak, trout, etc.), insects, earthworms, small grains with shell, pellet for water turtles (we advise you to visit the section of our site dedicated to feeding turtles - in particular we remind you the line of pellettato brand Mini Zoo Rinaldi).
Leave a cuttlefish bone available for the correct calcium intake, failing which it will be possible to replace it with a calcium-based supplement (always available in the section dedicated to nutrition).
