In captivity, the Kohni needs a vast aquaterrarium with the submerged zone equal to 2/3 of the available space.
It is advisable, outdoor breeding in the summer months.
About the reproductive dynamics, however, there are not much detailed information nor are there successes of some importance in captivity.
